MOVE
MOVE is Davis & Jones’ series of arts events
which will happen across Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals over the
coming four years. Making connections, starting conversations,
honouring the past and future hospitals.
Davis & Jones are the artists leading the public &
staff engagement arts programme for the new hospital development at
Southmead. They have been commissioned by North Bristol NHS Trust
as part of the Fresh Arts programme which aims to enhance and
humanise the hospital environment for the wellbeing of patients,
staff and visitors.

conducted in and around Frenchay and Southmead hospitals. First
published February 2012.
Well is the first visible element of MOVE.
During summer 2011 the artists travelled through the hospitals
asking people "In the midst of everything, what makes you feel
well?" They wanted to find out something of the people who make up
the hospitals, what makes them tick and go on to 
share this with others.
Their interviews and photographs have been
turned into a book which will be distributed to all waiting areas
and clinics at Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals.
