Support Fresh Arts

Loaned Artwork
Fresh Arts uses loaned artwork from artists and art organisations to brighten up corridors, waiting areas and wards around both Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals. Artists and art organisations usually loan work for between two and four years. Fresh Arts labels any work on loan, including contact information about the artist. Loaning artwork to the hospitals is a great way of:

• Promoting your artistic practice to a wide audience
• Supporting your local hospital by impacting positively on its environment

If you are an artist and interested in loaning artwork to Fresh Arts, please download and complete loan form and return to us. All possible loans are reviewed by our Arts Committee. If your loan is approved, Fresh Arts will contact you to arrange details.

Donating Artworks
Many people like to give something back to the hospital at which they, a family member, or friend were treated at. One way of doing this is by donating an artwork. The Fresh Arts committee has a Collections Statement which helps establish an artwork’s suitability for the collection, as not all work is appropriate for all settings.

We can advise on suitable themes, framing and donor plaques. We can also help by liaising with a ward or department if you have a specific location in mind.

Donations
Many patients are very generous to the hospital or ward in which they, a family member or a friend were treated, especially when they know their donation will go towards improving the hospital environment for patients, staff and visitors.  Any donation you make to Fresh Arts will be used specifically for the purpose chosen by you. Perhaps you would like to help fund a musical performance or art activity within the hospital or provide funds to purchase a picture for a ward or department. You might like to contribute towards an environmental scheme or commissioned artwork for a specific area of the hospital.

There are several ways you can make a donation: 

• By cash or cheque
• By direct giving using the Internet www.justgiving.com/northbristolnhs
• By a bequest in your Will
