1000 smiles for Southmead Maternity Unit
The charity at Southmead Hospital is
launching a search for pictures of 1,000 babies born at the
maternity unit, for an ambitious new project.
The pictures will form a two metre wide mosaic called A Thousand
Smiles to be displayed in the hospital’s baby unit. Each of the
donated images will form part of a bigger picture celebrating the
work at Southmead Maternity Unit.
Head of the Fundraising appeal Trevor
Reid said, “This is a really exciting project for the Hospital. We
would love to hear from anyone who has had a baby at Southmead and
would like to be involved in the mosaic.”
“We would love photos from Southmead babies young and
old! We are hoping that everyone who takes part will also make a
£10 donation to the Mum’s the Word appeal, which is supporting the
maternity unit at Southmead Hospital.”
Everyone who submits a picture will
also receive a postcard size print of the mosaic. To be part of
this amazing mosaic, simply visit www.mumsthewordappeal.org.uk
