With 745 members of staff, it provides an extensive joint replacement service for both routine and complex joint replacements, in particular revision arthroplasty hips, knees, ankles and shoulders as well as upper limb surgery.
Following surgery patients are given a full rehabilitation programme with physiotherapy using our on-site hydrotherapy pool and gym.
Patients are mobilised within 12 to 24 hours of surgery to encourage recovery.
There are five clean air filtered theatres helping to keep our infection rates low.
After surgery there is a 24 hour support service for GPs who need advice or information for their patients.
