Mr Ian Nelson was appointed in 1992 and
with his colleagues has developed the Bristol Orthopaedic Spine
Service providing care for children and adults with spine disorders
throughout the South West.
He has been a Clinical Director within North Bristol NHS Trust
for the musculoskeletal directorate, secretary of the British
Association of Spine Surgeons and in 2012 president elect of the
British Scoliosis Society.
