Breast Ultrasound Course for Surgeons
The course has been known as the
Frenchay Breast Ultrasound Course, but our Breast Unit has moved to
new premises at Southmead Hospital, the other large acute hospital
in North Bristol NHS Trust. We have therefore renamed it The
Bristol Breast Ultrasound Course.
This two day course is aimed primarily
at breast surgeons and clinicians, consultants, SAS doctors,
trainees or others.
You may have never picked up an
ultrasound probe before, but recognised the value of using it in
the clinic or theatre. Or you may be experienced in using it, but
want to know a bit more, or you may want some official
accreditation of your skills.
The course runs twice a year.
- 15th and 16th March 2012
- Now fully booked
- 18th and 19th October

prospectus PDF.
We aim to have some 15-20 participants
on each one, a small enough number to allow the hands on experience
on the workstations.
The course takes place over two days,
a Thursday and Friday. There are lectures in the mornings and
practical work in the afternoons.
The course fee is £300 which includes
lunches and also a complimentary copy of our book “Interventional
Ultrasound of the Breast” which contains some of the course
material. Other course material will be supplied on a CD.
