Birth Partners & Visiting
Your birth partner and your own children (including
stepchildren) can visit
you on
the maternity wards (Quantock Ward, Mendip Ward and Percy Phillips
Ward) from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm every day.
Others (over the age of 13) can visit between 2.00 pm and 4.30
pm and 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm.
General visiting is limited to 2 visitors at a time (in
addition to your birth partner and own children) as it is important
for new mothers to have the opportunity to rest and establish
feeding.
Whilst you are on Delivery Suite or the Birth Suite, you are
welcome to have 2 birth partners with you at all times. We ask
that these are the same 2 people, unless in exceptional
circumstances at the discretion of the Delivery Suite
coordinator.
In theatre and the recovery area 1 birth partner can stay with
you, unless you need a general anaesthetic.
