Bristol Bones & Joints is a team of doctors, nurses, researchers and patients, focused on improving care and outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, through implementing evidence-based practice and developing new research to fill knowledge gaps.
They are a Bristol Health Partners Health Integration Team (HIT). Bristol Health Partners is a collaboration of all the major health institutions in the city, from hospitals to universities, and commissioners to public health. HITs are focused on a specific topic or condition, and bring together all the local players in the field, regardless of organisational affiliation. HITs tackle health priorities by working in new ways, harnessing the best research, innovation, care and education to make a difference to people's health.
Bristol Bones & Joints was one of the first ever Health Integration Teams.
