Restarting Laser Treatments Patient Information during COVID-19

Restarting Laser Treatments following Coronavirus pandemic

Information for patients

We are pleased to be able to reopen the laser service and restart some of our laser procedures.  Please be aware that we will do everything we can to reduce the risks involved with coronavirus but cannot remove the risks completely.

These are some of the changes we will make:

  • Appointments will be spaced out to allow for thorough cleaning of rooms and equipment between patients
  • Clinicians will wear PPE including masks and gloves
  • Social distancing measures will be taken in reception areas and in treatment rooms, as far as possible
  • No relatives or friends will be allowed in the treatment room, except for children, where one parent/guardian may be present to support the child

You will be asked to:

  • Wear a mask while in the hospital and during your appointment, except when being treated on the lower face
  • Pay with card only
  • Wait in the atrium or your car until your appointment time

Please do not attend if:

You have any symptoms of infection including:

  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Diarrhoea
  • Recent loss of taste and/or smell
  • Sore throat or cold symptoms

  • You have been in contact with anyone with coronavirus symptoms within the last 14 days
  • You are shielding because of your age or medical conditions that make you particularly vulnerable to infection
  • You have been advised to self-isolate by the NHS track and trace system
  • You have recently returned from a country on the quarantine list
  • You live in an area that is currently under local lockdown

Thank you for your cooperation.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
