Occupational Therapists (OT)

Occupational Therapists provide an exceptional service to both our inpatients and outpatients - and there are approximately 90 working across the Trust. You can work in either a static or a rotational post.

When working in static posts, you will need to be flexible, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment - prompt assessment and early decision making are necessary to facilitate timely discharges from our hospital.

Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs)

Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) cover our adult, acute and rehabilitation services. They are based at our Southmead and Cossham Hospitals. SLTs work across Bristol, North Somerset, and Gloucestershire, so joining us in this role will allow you to maintain strong professional links throughout the South West while you help us to deliver outstanding care to our patients. You will also have the option to work with the adult learning difficulty SLTs, for their clients, who may require access to our specialist SLT services (e.g. stammering, videofluoroscopy).

Physiotherapists

Physiotherapists provide their quality services to our patients, with a commitment to excellent evidence-based care. Joining us in this position will allow you to help us deliver our services in a variety of areas.

  • Lecturing for undergraduates on amputee rehabilitation and orthopaedics and trauma.

Dietician

Nutritionists and dietetics provide their services across a number of our wards. We back evidence-based practice and all dietitians are expected to participate in auditing, or research projects, or in study which is related to their areas of work while helping us to provide our patients with the best possible care.

You can join us in this position in either a full-time or part-time role, which includes occasional Saturday work as part of the weekend working rota.
