Unfortunately, we are unable to offer shifts on bank to Newly Qualified Nurses as you must have at least 18 months of experience in an acute hospital.
We place high value on the work of our Healthcare Assistants at NBT eXtra, which is why we offer the Certificate in Care. This qualification provides you with a strong foothold to further develop your professional knowledge and skills. Administrative and Clerical - Band 2 Upwards
At NBT eXtra we can offer opportunities for a variety of Administrative and Clerical staff roles, whether you are a Data Input Clerk (Band 2), a Ward Receptionist, a Medical Secretary, or a PA (Band 3/4/5), or in a Technical or Financial role (Band 5 Upwards).

Facilities - Domestic Operative (Cleaner) & Porter - Band 2
As a Domestic Operative (Cleaner) or Porter, you would be joining 2,900 other members of staff who between them cover a total of 8,700 hours a month. The work our Facilities staff do is vital to the success of the hospital and they work hard to keep our patients safe and comfortable.
By joining us as a Domestic Operative, we can offer you training for your role, with the possibility of further specialised training.
As a Porter with NBT eXtra, you will have the chance to undertake various tasks which play a key role in helping us to run our hospital so we can continue to provide our patients with outstanding care. For example, you will transfer patients within the hospitals, transport stores and equipment and patient blood samples, and transport trolleys of food and drink. This role would give you the chance to work with many different people across our Wards, Theatres, or even in our Radiology department.
Catering - Band 1/2/3
We have a range of opportunities at NBT eXtra to join us in a catering role. As a Ward Operative, you will help us provide excellent patient care by delivering food directly to our patients on our wards. We also have opportunities available for Chefs and Catering Assistants to work in our modern staff restaurant.
Our shift patterns can vary widely from 7am-8pm, seven days a week.
Housekeeper - Band 1/2
As a Housekeeper with NBT eXtra, you would support our trained staff and sisters in our wards - ensuring that our wards continue to run as efficiently as possible for patients and their families. Your duties would include maintaining supplies, such as linen, as well as assisting with patient meals and refreshments.
Our shift patterns vary widely from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week.
