Birth Preferences

A birth preference is a record of what you would like to happen during your labour and birth. It is not essential that you create a birth preferences but if you would like one your midwife will be able to help. You may also find it helpful to discuss things with your partner, friends and family.

Before you start to complete your birth preferences, get information about the areas you need to consider, such as pain management, where you would like to give birth, who you would like to have with you, and how you feel about intervention such as forceps or ventouse
