North Bristol NHS Trust has been shortlisted for an award in promoting health and well being through the arts.
The first ever Arts and Health South West Awards ceremony will be held at MShed museum on June 27.
The awards, sponsored by the Fine Family Foundation, have been introduced by Arts and Health South West, a registered charity set up to encourage the development of the arts and health sector across the region.
The awards aim to celebrate and spread inspirational arts and health work in the South West.
A total of 15 shortlisted organisations and individuals will be awarded one of three prestigious cash prizes.
Guest speaker, Semir Zeki, Professor of Neuresthetics at University College London, will also present new research on 'The Neurobiology of Beauty' at the event.
North Bristol NHS Trust has been shortlisted for a health award for its Fresh arts project called ‘In Whom We Trust’.
North Bristol NHS Trust’s “In Whom We Trust” project is a photographic and sound record of staff and their work at Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals and in community health services.
