Beaufort House closure

Tuesday, 30 April 2013

Access to the Beaufort House building for staff and public is now closes.

This means you will no longer be able to access the main hospital corridor through Beaufort House.

Diversions around Beaufort House from the Beaufort Way car park are in place.

Please follow the signs and dotted yellow line on the pavement.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Why is Beaufort House closed?

North Bristol NHS Trust is redeveloping Beaufort House on the Southmead Hospital site to create a new Breast Care Centre to provide screening, diagnosis and after-care support for cancer patients in Bristol.

The plans also include a new Macmillan Wellbeing Centre, providing emotional, practical and financial support for people affected by any type of cancer, their families, friends and carers.

North Bristol NHS Trust has now submitted the plans for both centres which will open in Spring 2014.

You can read more about the plans here

Construction work on transforming the historic Beaufort House into the two new centres will begin shortly.

We will update you on the plans and on the progress of work in due course.
