Careers open evening on Tuesday - your chance to find out about working in the NHS

Saturday, 10 March 2018

If you are thinking about a career in the health service, why not find out more about the roles available at our open evening on Tuesday (March 13).

From prosthetics to pharmacy, maternity to our Emergency Department or roles behind the scenes in science, facilities and administration or becoming a doctor or member of nursing staff.

Teams will be available to help you find out about the jobs we have at North Bristol NHS Trust and how you might find you way into a career with us.

Our Learning and Development experts will also be on hand to help advise you about how to get into your dream role. There are apprenticeships and work experience placements available and our teams will be able to tell you more.

There will also be the chance to try out some skills in our simulation room and take a look around our labs.

The evening is open to everyone, whether you are leaving school or college, or are considering a change of career.

James Orpin, from North Bristol NHS Trust, said: “As one of the biggest employers in the area, North Bristol NHS Trust has a variety of opportunities available to people with a diverse range of skills and experience.

“This is the opportunity for you to come along and speak to people about the potential roles available to you, to potentially apply for a new job, or to find out how you might be able to make the step you need on the career ladder.

“We will also have representatives from our education team able to talk about apprenticeships and work experience, so no matter what stage you are at in life there should be information that suits you if you are thinking of working for the NHS.”

The event will run from 5.30 - 8pm in the Learning and Research Centre at Southmead Hospital.
