Why is Beaufort House closed?

North Bristol NHS Trust is redeveloping Beaufort House on the Southmead Hospital site to create a new Bristol Breast Care Centre to provide screening, diagnosis and after-care support for cancer patients in Bristol.

It will also include a new Macmillan Wellbeing Centre, providing emotional, practical and financial support for people affected by any type of cancer, their families, friends and carers.

Both centres which will open in May 2014.
