Donation to BCRM in memory of tandem couple

The family of Ross and Clare Simons made a donation of £3,500 to the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine (BCRM) at Southmead Hospital last week in memory of the couple.
Ross and Clare had just started fertility treatment before their lives were cut short when a banned driver crashed into their tandem in January this year.
Ross and Clare’s parents – along with friends and family – came along to the centre to present the cheque to lead consultant Valentine Akande.
Mr Akande said: “'The Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine would like to thank the family and friends of Clare and Ross Simons for the very generous donation of £3,500 to the Fertility Appeal charitable fund which was made in memory of the couple.”
Money was raised through donations at Ross and Clare’s funeral, raffles and fundraising by friends and local people in the Hanham area.
