Industrial action on June 21

Tuesday, 19 June 2012

North Bristol NHS Trust has robust contingency plans to deal with situations such as this to ensure we can continue to provide high quality care.

Urgent and emergency care is unaffected by the industrial action. Inpatients are continuing to receive high quality safe care and treatment.

Working with our doctors, we have planned well for today and, as such, disruption to patients has been minimal. We have contacted a small number of patients to reschedule their routine appointments.

As we are major trauma centre and a regional specialist, most of our work is emergency and urgent procedures and therefore in many ways it is business as usual.

In addition, services such as our Emergency Department and Minor Injuries Units have been operating as normal.

Please use services appropriately and go to your GP or walk in centre if this is the most suitable service for you. Urgent primary care services will be running as usual.
