ITV West Country report of epilepsy surgery at Frenchay Hospital

Sam Birtwistle from Devon is a severe epilepsy sufferer whose life has been transformed after having vagus nerve stimulation surgery at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol.
A device is fitted inside him which sends electrical currents to his brain to control the seizures.
Neurosurgeon David Sandeman talks about the procedure with Neuropsychiatrist Monica Mohan.
The treatment is offered at the Burden Centre, Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, run by North Bristol NHS Trust.
