“Andrea joins us during exciting and challenging times as we continue to deliver high quality healthcare and prepare for the opening of our new wonderful hospital at Southmead in May 2014.”

Andrea Young, said: “As the largest healthcare provider in the South West, North Bristol NHS Trust, has a huge contribution to make in delivering exceptional care and even better outcomes locally, regionally and nationally.

“In moving to our new hospital at Southmead and on its journey to become a foundation trust there is a unique opportunity to realise the full potential of this organisation. It is one of the most exciting leadership roles in the NHS and I am delighted to joining them in the coming months.
