North Bristol NHS Trust awarded for excellence in healthcare provision

North Bristol NHS Trust has recently received the Myeloma UK Clinical Service Excellence Programme Award (Myeloma UK CSEP Award) from Myeloma UK. The award recognises the Trust’s commitment to providing superior treatment to myeloma patients, and helping to make improvements in the wider healthcare community.

Representatives from Myeloma UK presented the award to the Cancer team at North Bristol NHS Trust following the assessment of its services. Senior Research Nurse Suriya Kirkpatrick was instrumental in ensuring patients had an opportunity to provide the Trust with feedback and as a result, the Cancer team received the highest number of patient response forms in the country. 

Senior Research Nurse at North Bristol NHS Trust, Suriya Kirkpatrick said: “This was an excellent opportunity to evaluate our myeloma service at NBT. It is fantastic that Myeloma UK recognise the high quality service we deliver to our patients in our modern facilities, and we were delighted to be highlighted as outstanding in obtaining patient feedback.”
