Southmead Hospital alternative road access to main entrance

Tuesday, 10 April 2012

Central Way, on the Southmead Hospital site, is currently closed to vehicles only to enable construction work on the new hospital to be carried out.

However, pedestrians will still be able to access the main hospital entrance along Central Way.

The closure will come into affect from Wednesday April 11.

A patient and visitor drop off with a short wait area is now situated in Chapel Way.

Chapel Way and Porters Road will be managed by traffic marshals to help keep turning areas clear and guide drivers to the best location for their needs.

North Bristol NHS Trust would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this road closure may cause.

Alternative access arrangements can be found on the Southmead Site Map (PDF).
