The Barbara Russell Children's Unit at Frenchay Hospital enjoyed a series of Christmas visits from some very special sports teams.

The children's unit welcome sports players to spend time with patients every Christmas.

Bristol Rovers players brought in gifts when they visited on December 14.

On December 19 the entire 38 strong Bristol Rugby squad visited the BRCU and were in fine voice as they performed a number of Christmas carols with guitars and even brought Father Christmas along too, as well as handing out gifts.

And on December 22 players from Bath Rugby visited the unit armed with presents and spent a few hours playing with patients.
