Staff celebrated at vocational awards ceremony

Friday, 16 March 2018

This week we celebrated the graduation of more than 30 members of staff who have completed various vocational qualifications.

Friends, family and colleagues were also invited to celebrate the presentation of the awards, which included Care Certificates, Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeships in Healthcare Support Services and Diplomas in Pre-operative Care Support.

We are extremely proud of our career development programmes here at North Bristol NHS Trust, which allow staff to undertake guided and individual learning alongside gaining valuable workplace experience. Our staff work incredibly hard to achieve these qualifications.

This week we celebrated the graduation of more than 30 members of staff who have completed various vocational qualifications at North Bristol NHS Trust.

There are currently over 300 learners studying with the Trust, all supported throughout their qualifications by the Learning & Development team.

Simon Wood, Director of Estates, Facilities & Capital Planning at North Bristol Trust opened the ceremony with a speech to those attending, and presented the certificates. Having started out his own career as an apprentice and worked hard to achieve a board position, Simon said: “One of the most rewarding parts of my job as a senior manager is being able to help, support and encourage people to develop and improve themselves. Seeing the energy and excitement from a group of graduating staff members from all different areas, is a great privilege.  Well done to everyone that has taken that first step in furthering their careers.”

Congratulations to everyone for all your hard work, and good luck in your ongoing careers!
