Friday, 13 March 2015

North Bristol NHS Trust, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust,  South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group are working together to deliver a strong resilient sustainable healthcare service for Bristol, ready for changing times and climates.

A sustainability fair will take place on NHS Sustainability Day (Thursday, March 26) from 10am-2pm at the Brunel building, Southmead Hospital. Patients, staff and visitors are welcome to attend.

The local NHS trusts will be engaging and enthusing patients, members of staff and visitors to the Brunel building on sustainability and share what the NHS in Bristol is doing to reduce its environmental impact and raise awareness on the links between our environment, sustainability, health and wellbeing.

Stall holders such as Dr Bike, Fairtrade, Travel West, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, Warm up Bristol, Pukka Herbs and others will be there on the day to join in the celebrations and promote sustainable lifestyle choices, health, happiness and wellbeing in our city.

Bristol Community Farm will be promoting healthy eating and low carbon food with a fresh fruit and vegetable stall outside the main entrance on the day, along with Nissan Wessex, who will be here with a Nissan Leaf electric vehicle.
