Dr Judith Hyde obtained MRCOG in 2003 and was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician at North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) in 2008.
Dr Hyde specialises in caring for women with underlying medical conditions in pregnancy and also runs a pre-pregnancy counselling service for complex women.
She runs a regional Renal Disease in pregnancy clinic with the nephrology team at Southmead Hospital, together with further multi-professional clinics for diabetes & thyroid disease, epilepsy, haematology & drug & alcohol misuse.
Dr Hyde is an active member of the PROMPT Maternity Foundation, a registered Charity that helps to make childbirth safer through the dissemination of multi-professional obstetric emergency training. PROMPT training, which originated in Southmead Hospital in 2000, is now run in over 12 different countries – helping to make childbirth safer from Australia to Zimbabwe.
Judith is also Clinical Director for Women’s and Children’s Health at NBT.
