The Imaging Team are committed to providing you with personalised healthcare.
Things that we deliver on this level:
- Approximately 300 CT scans per week
- Approximately 170 MRI scans per week
- Approximately 100 Interventional procedures per week
- Approximately 225 Inpatient x-rays per week

Where things are
The shop on level 1 is open Monday to Friday 7am-8.30pm and weekends & bank holidays 8am-8.30pm. Offers sandwiches, snacks, drinks, stationery and essentials.
There are 2 Costa Coffee Shops on level 1, open Monday to Friday 7am-8.30pm and weekends & bank holidays 8am-8.30pm.
The League of Friends Coffee Shop, Level 1, near Gate 36 is open Monday to Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday 10am to 5pm and weekends 2pm-5pm.
Toilets are located towards the right hand side of the reception area. If you are not sure the Receptionist would be happy to help direct you.
Cashpoints are located at Level 1, opposite Pharmacy or within the shop.
How things work
If you are having difficulties parking, particularly in an emergency, please telephone the Parking Team on 0117 414 3334, who will be able to assist you.
Patients are now able to access a Trust provided public Wi-Fi service (NBT Guest Network), initially free of charge for using their own mobile devices or laptops. Instructions on accessing the Wi-Fi will be available, please ask a member of staff for further information, if required.
If you need to book a taxi to take you home, please ask one of the team to help you.
About Imaging Within Gate 19:
There are 2 MRI scanners, 2 CT scanners, 2 inpatient X-ray rooms and 5 interventional procedure rooms, covering a wide range of scans and specialities.
This level also has its own day case area, providing post procedural care for the more complex cases.
To maintain privacy and dignity for patients, we are unable to have relatives within the day case area. We do offer the option for an accompanying person to be present for the consent process only.
Current demands on NBT beds may mean, there will be delays in the daily scheduling for your procedure.
