We strive to support all patient needs at North Bristol NHS Trust. For patients who need BSL interpreting services, we now offer planned and non-planned one-to-one video communication.
Planned video appointments are via our Attend Anywhere platform and a BSL Interpreter will be arranged via Sign Solutions. However, for non-planned emergency communication requirements within the hospital, we will use the Interpreterslive! service provided by Sign Solutions.
In addition to this new service, Sign Solutions also provides planned face to face and video interpreting British Sign Language Interpreters, Speech to Text Reporters (STTR) including Palantypists, Sign Supported English (SSE), Lip speakers, Deaf Relay Interpreters and other types of sign language. If you want to find out if an Interpreter has been booked for your forthcoming appointment, contact Sign Solutions with your appointments details and they can check and arrange for you.
If you want to contact anyone at North Bristol NHS Trust related to your care, treatment or to make/change and appointment, you can now do so from home via the InterpretersLive! video interpreting service.
The InterpretersLive! service is available on-demand seven days a week between 8am and midnight via the StarLeaf app. You can also pre-book BSL Video Interpreters and other types of remote communication support for anytime and anywhere via any video platform.
