Intensive Care Research Patient & Public Involvement

New head injuries group at Southmead Hospital Intensive Care Unit

We want to hear from people who have had a head injury in the past, and their families or carers to be part of an ongoing patient & public involvement discussion group to discuss aspects of upcoming clinical research studies in Intensive Care. The studies we are planning will look at possible new treatments for patients with head injuries in Intensive Care. We will ask those involved to:

  • assist us in how best to communicate the studies to the families of the patients involved
  • give us feedback on patient study information that will be given to a patient’s family about taking part in a research study
  • take part in Intensive Care patient and public discussion group meetings on an ad hoc basis in the Bristol area. (The first meeting will take place in the Learning & Research building at Southmead hospital).

When?

21 June 2018 5pm to 7pm

To ensure that you are not out-of-pocket, we will provide a £20 Love to Shop voucher for each meeting to cover your out of pocket expenses such as parking costs.
