Welcome to the North Bristol Trust’s Women and Children’s Research Unit.
We have a skilled research team dedicated to improving care for mothers and babies and who are interested in the life experiences of the women and parents who use the Women’s and Children’s services. Providing excellent care is what drives us and understanding what works best for women and sometimes their families enables change.
Research is known to benefit those who choose to take part. Participating in clinical research studies has the ability to impact the way we practice very quickly and change care for future generations, as taking part lets us better understand the medicines or treatments we use, and when we should make changes.
You may also be interested in helping us develop studies. Women and their families have the ability to change what we do. Having women’s opinions with a range of life experiences can help us develop future work; this helps us ensure future studies are acceptable to other women and families.
Thank you for taking the time to consider research participation. Please take a look at the studies that we have available and contact us if you have questions, one of the team will be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
