Special precautions & notes: Take sample 6-10 hours after dose. Please state dose, time of dose and time of blood sampling. Digoxin shows greater toxicity if the patient has renal impairment, hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia, hypercalcaemia, hypoxia or is hypothyroid. Digoxin is less effective if the patient has hypocalcaemia or is hyperthyroid.
Reference range: Therapeutic Range: 0.8 - 2.0 μg/L at >6 h post dose
