Special precautions & notes: In both a random and 24 hour sample, the tests are sodium, potassium and creatinine. These can also be measured on acidified urine.
Reference range: No reference ranges quoted for random urine samples due to variability. Results should be interpreted in context with serum results, paired urine and serum osmolalities, current medications and fluid status. 24 hour samples: Urine Sodium 50-200 mmol/24hr
