Our activity programme is one of the key ways in which Fresh Arts connects with patients and improves the experience of being in hospital.
For many patients a hospital stay can be a difficult experience. It comes not only with health concerns, pain, anxiety or uncertainty, but also with a loss of independence, being away from home and family and coping in a clinical environment.
In order to provide distraction, comfort and a more pleasant environment, Fresh Arts organises a mixture of arts activities for patients, staff and visitors to enjoy, from the grand piano played in the main atrium to knitting sessions in waiting rooms our arts activities are welcoming and engaging patients all over the hospital. Alongside this are dance, visual arts, live music at the patient bedside and other creative projects spread across clinical departments.
