We have two vacancies for Associate Non-executive Directors (NED) at North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT).
The Trust is particularly looking for individuals who can bring diversity and offer skills and perspectives that are currently under-represented on the Board.
As members of the Board the successful candidates will also have a critical role in shaping future services for the local population through collaboration with partners in the Integrated Care System (ICS) that joins up hospital and community-based services, physical and mental health, and health and social care.
The Associate NED role offers a development opportunity for candidates who may not yet have the experience to take on a full NED role. It is an opportunity to develop skills and an understanding of how a public board operates in the National Health Service.
Associate NEDs cannot participate in any formal vote at Board meetings but will have the opportunity to contribute to discussions and debate. The Trust offers a mentoring and coaching programme for Associate NEDs, and they may have the opportunity to apply for future Non-Executive Director roles.
