North Bristol NHS Trust’s annual NHS Staff Survey results released

Today, the annual NHS Staff Survey results have been released. At NBT we are pleased to see improvements in many areas, and a higher response rate than ever before of 60%, which is 15% higher than the national average.

The staff survey has nine themes, with multiple questions in each theme. This year all our NHS People Promise themes have significantly improved since 2022 and are above the national average when compared to other NHS Trusts. 75% of all questions asked had a ‘better’ response than the national average, and a further 11% were ‘significantly better’.

Maria Kane, Chief Executive Officer at NBT said: “I am pleased that so many of our staff have had their say in the most recent NHS staff survey, and that the results can reflect such a wide range of views from our diverse organisation. I’m really proud to see improvements from 2022 in areas including staff engagement, morale, and appraisals. This is thanks to the commitment and resilience shown by each member of our staff every day.”

We will continue to work with our staff on areas for improvement, and deliver action plans to address the things that we know are important to our staff.
