The public are being encouraged to show their support for Southmead Hospital’s NHS heroes working under significant pressure dealing with the current wave of Covid-19.

As part of “Thank You Week” at North Bristol NHS Trust between 17th and 21st January, people are asked to send in their praise via social media, traditional post or this electronic form.

North Bristol NHS Trust Chief Executive, Maria Kane, said:

“Almost two years into the pandemic, our staff at all levels are showing extraordinary resilience against relentless challenges to keep caring for our patients.

“Sometimes a simple ‘thanks’ or ‘well done’ can make all the difference, so we really would welcome all the support possible for NHS staff and fellow key workers.”

People are encouraged to say thanks via message or video on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #ThankYouNHS.

Messages can be posted to the Communications Team, Trust Headquarters, North Bristol NHS Trust, Southmead Hospital, Bristol, BS10 5NB.

There will also be a rainbow selfie board inside the main hospital for patients and visitors to show their support.

Staff across the hospital are also thanking each other via personalised cards.
