Saplings Nursery give back this Christmas

This week, the Saplings Nursery team spread some festive cheer by hosting a Christmas breakfast for children and parents at Saplings.

The Nursery based on the Southmead Hospital site, which is used by many of our NBT staff, looks after 91 children each day, with over 150 children accessing the provision every week.

At the Nursery, the children have been learning about what we can all do to help others less fortunate, and as part of this, along with their parents, they have brought in a variety of items to donate to local Foodbanks.

As a thank you, the team organised a Christmas breakfast which was appreciated by parents and children enjoying a tasty treat before learning more about the importance of helping others.

Georgia Garraway, Deputy Nursery Manager said “It was a great event to not only celebrate the festive period with the children and their parents but also be able to give back to the community and teach the children about the importance of being kind and generous.

We were blown away by our parents and their childrens generosity and have three big boxes of food to deliver.”
