Coronavirus - Visitors' Guidelines
COVID-19: Visitors are currently not permitted within the hospital
In line with the Government’s strict social distancing rules, we have suspended ALL visiting arrangements, with the exception of the 4 situations listed below (which apply irrespective of COVID-19 status).
1) A single birth partner whilst a woman is in labour;
2) One parent if a patient is 18 years or under;
3) A carer if the patient has a Learning Disability or dementia with specific needs that require support from that carer;
4) A single nominated visitor to patients who are at the end of their life. Where it is possible to maintain social distancing throughout the visit, a second additional visitor (including a child) could be permitted at the discretion of the Ward sister/Charge Nurse (following updated national guidance from 18 May).
Even in these 4 situations, the visit must be arranged with the nurse in charge of the ward, to ensure continued safety for patients, staff and the visitor.
Attending for general treatment:
If you are attending for treatment as an outpatient, please come into the hospital by yourself.
Visit Visiting And Attending Maternity Services for information on attending our maternity services.
At this difficult time there are many things which the closest relative or friend has to do.
