Functional Skills

European Union

We provide levels 1 and 2 Functional Skills Qualifications in maths, English and ICT for staff and apprentices who do not hold a prior Level 2 or above qualification in the subject, for example, GCSE ‘C’ and above.

For English and maths, depending upon an individual’s needs diagnosed before enrolment onto the programme, learners will be invited to attend between 4 – 8 days of taught sessions with extra support given if required.  The use of a dictionary and calculator are allowed in the final exams.

For ICT learners will be invited to attend between 4-6 short sessions, culminating in a final exam.
