If you have previously been a registered nurse and wish to return to the profession, then you may need to undertake a return to practice programme. North Bristol NHS Trust works closely with the University of the West of England (UWE), to support you through every aspect of the academic and clinical practice requirements to allow you to re-join the nursing register. You can find out more by visiting the UWE website . We recruit three times a year for each of the UWE cohorts, please keep an eye out on NHS jobs for a vacancy.
All return to practice nurses at North Bristol NHS Trust start on a Band 3 training contract and will be paid during their clinical placement. On successful completion of the Return to Practice Course, you will be guaranteed a Band 5 post within North Bristol NHS Trust. We try and accommodate your desired career pathway when placing you in a permanent position. During your placement, you will also be supported by an allocated practice assessor, your ward manager and a practice facilitator.
