NGS Macmillan Wellbeing Centre
The NGS Macmillan Wellbeing Centre at Southmead Hospital, Bristol, which opened in September 2014, provides advice, support and information to anyone living with or after a cancer diagnosis, or anyone concerned about cancer.
Situated in the refurbished Beaufort House next to the Bristol Breast Care Centre, the Wellbeing Centre was built in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) and is named the “NGS Wellbeing Centre” in recognition of the support received from the National Garden Scheme.
The centre provides a place where you can get free information, where you can look through our library of leaflets, and talk to dedicated staff in a relaxing atmosphere.
Our library includes free information and leaflets on all cancers, diagnosis and treatments, as well as information on diet, health, exercise, and community support groups.
Our main focus is to help you cope with your diagnosis and help in changes that may arise on your journey and recovery.
Some of the services and support we provide include, but are not limited to:
- The Bristol Macmillan Cancer Rehabilitation and Support Team
- Macmillan Citizens Advice
- walking groups
- Look good, feel better classes
- complementary therapies
- signposting to support services
You can just drop-in for a chat and a cup of tea (no appointment necessary).
