Test name: CSF neurodegenerative markers a.k.a. total tau, beta amyloid, phosphorylated tau, neurofilament light

Condition / Indication: Investigation of neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory disorders. This is a referred test and NOT analysed at NBT.

Special precautions & notes: 3 samples are needed (minimum volume 0.5mL in each). These must be in polypropylene tubes (yellow top) and sent to the laboratory immediately. Tubes can be obtained from neurosciences outpatients.

Reference range: Reference ranges and interpretation quoted on report provided by referral laboratory.

Container: Polypropylene tube (yellow top) obtained from neurosciences outpatients

Ideal volume (mL): 0.5mL in each tube
