Special precautions & notes: Fasting sample preferred. Value may be decreased with recent food intake and increased by haemolysis or delay in receipt. TmP/GFR to further investigate renal phosphate handling is requestable as a single entity through ICE requiring a paired serum and urine sample to be processed - see attachment for details on patient preparation.
