Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME Service

Bristol Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME Service is a specialist NHS Service for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME.

The clinical team includes:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Clinical Psychologists
  • A Counsellor.

We offer an outpatient service to people living in Bristol, North Somerset, and Gloucestershire. We offer a combination of telephone and face-to-face contact, and a telephone counselling service is available for people who have been assessed by the Service. Part of our role is to advise and support other Health Care Professionals in the clinical management of people with CFS/ME.

The Service can be contacted by email, telephone or by letter or fax. The best days to contact our administrator by telephone are a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

In 2004, North Bristol NHS Trust was selected as one of 14 specialist centres in the UK for the development of services for people diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME. The service has built up considerable expertise over the years in supporting people living with CFS/ME.

The Bristol Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME Service has ongoing involvement in research projects, including a recent study completed by Dr Jade Thai at the University of Bristol
