Study Development

From writing your initial proposal to statistical requests and patient & public involvement, here you will find all the guidance you need to develop your research idea at North Bristol NHS Trust.

If you have a research idea and are looking for funding, we’ve collated these useful resources to help you develop your research idea, where to find funding, how to pull a grant application together and the NBT R&I Research Fund.

Developing a new study idea and applying for funding can be a daunting process, but we are here to support you through it. It is worth noting that grant applications require R&I sign-off. To do this we need to ensure that, at the very least, the project is costed correctly and fully. Therefore, if you are planning on submitting a grant through NBT, or if the grant has NBT costs associated with it, we recommend you contact R&I at an early stage, no later than 3 weeks in advance of the deadline.

To discuss your research idea and how we can support you, please get in touch with us via 0117 414 9330 or by emailing researchgrants@nbt.nhs.uk.
