Research Design Service, South West (RDS-SW)
The Research Design Service, South West (RDS-SW) is part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). It provides methodological expertise for researchers preparing proposals for submission to peer-reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research.
Research & Innovation work closely with the RDS-SW and can facilitate discussions between you and their staff to discuss your research proposal. In addition, the RDS-SW holds scientific committee meetings once a month to critique potential NIHR applications and provide feedback to applicants. It is strongly advised that any researcher preparing an NIHR application submits a draft application to the RDS scientific committee at least 1 month in advance of the deadline.
